Additional Information:

IMPORTANT NOTICE – ROAD CLOSURE

Roadworks have resulted in a road closure between the Wrangaton exit of A38 and the new roundabout at Kittaford Cross.

We recommend that those travelling to Flete Park from the east (Exeter) should exit the A38 at Marley Head, taking the B3372 to South Brent and Avonwick. The B3372 takes you through South Brent and under the A38. After the underpass, turn left towards Avonwick. In Avonwick, turn right opposite the Avon Inn and continue to join up with the A3121 towards Ermington and Plymouth. This takes you to Ermington and the normal route to Flete Park. An extra 15-20 minutes is advised.

We recommend also that you follow the directions above, rather than the official diversion signs, which will take you on a much longer detour via Plymouth!

Dogs Welcome:

Point-to-points provide an ideal opportunity to spend a day in the countryside with your dog, although please remember that dogs must always be on a lead, should not be left in cars unattended (particularly in warmer weather), and to clean up after them.

Disabled Facilities:

Disabled parking and access to facilities is usually available. Please advise our gate staff on arrival and they will be able to help you. Note that the going underfoot can be muddy and the terrain may be uneven.

Food and Drink:

Nearly all point-to-point courses have a bar and stalls selling food and drink, while point-to-points are also a great opportunity to enjoy a picnic with friends.

Shopping:

Most courses also have trade stands selling a variety of artisan foods, country clothing and gifts.

Entertainment:

Countryside ring featuring gun dog displays, family dog racing and falconry. There will be a scheduled parade of the beagles and a bouncy castle for children.

Local Information:

There are invariably a number of decent pubs and hotels offering food, drink and accommodation in the vicinity of a point-to-point course, as well as sites of interest. We suggest that you use tripadvisor.co.uk or a similar website to find out more about what’s available in the local area.
