Cards Accepted:

Not all courses have facilities for card payments, so be sure to take enough cash to cover the cost of admission and a racecard, any bets you wish to place, and food and drink.

Additional Information:

Event organisers will add in anything that you might need to know here – such as road works that might affect your journey times or celebrity appearances. Keep an eye on it!

Dogs Welcome:

Point-to-points provide an ideal opportunity to spend a day in the countryside with your dog, although please remember that dogs must always be on a lead, should not be left in cars unattended (particularly in warmer weather), and to clean up after them. For point-to-points held at permanent racecourses, you should check in advance whether dogs are allowed to enter.

Disabled Facilities:

Disabled parking and access to facilities is usually available. Please advise our gate staff on arrival and they will be able to help you. Note that the going underfoot can be muddy and the terrain may be uneven.

Photographers:

Most events have a resident photographer if you wish to purchase professional photos.

Food and Drink:

Nearly all point-to-point courses have a bar and stalls selling food and drink, while point-to-points are also a great opportunity to enjoy a picnic with friends.

Shopping:

Most courses also have trade stands selling a variety of artisan foods, country clothing and gifts.

Entertainment:

Entertainment for children is often provided in the shape of bouncy castles and fairground rides.

Local Information:

There are invariably a number of decent pubs and hotels offering food, drink and accommodation in the vicinity of a point-to-point course, as well as sites of interest. We suggest that you use tripadvisor.co.uk or a similar website to find out more about what’s available in the local area.
